There are several ways to hide your status. The first way is to swipe to the left. Once there, you will see a list of people you’re currently talking to. Scroll down to the bottom to see the conversation history. Alternatively, you can go into your Favorites tab and select the “hide all” option next to the name of the person you’re talking to. The Hide All button is a temporary solution, and is only available to you and the person you’re talking to.
Once you’ve accessed your settings, you’ll want to toggle off your active status. Facebook Messenger has a toggle switch that you can slide up and down to hide it. To turn this off, simply swipe down on the toggle switch until it turns grey. Now, you can toggle your active status. Once you’re done, you’re good to go!
