The Yale Law School Career Development office employs fifteen individuals, including four full-time attorney-career counselors. Each counselor specializes in a specific area of law. Through individual career counseling, students are able to assess their courses and their professors. Students can also ask questions regarding the content of the courses. Yale Law students’ work is published in a number of leading law journals. While this may seem daunting to many, the faculty at Yale Law make the experience a worthwhile one.
The Dean of Yale Law School has made human rights a priority, building on a long tradition of activism in the last two decades. Alums of Yale Law School include Robert Bernstein, the founder of Human Rights Watch, and Kenneth Roth, executive director of Human Rights Watch. In recent years, Yale Law School has also taken a leading role in the Newshunttimes defense of the detainees at Guantanamo Bay.
